Corporate History
Southern Equipment was founded in 1952 as a distributor of air conditioning equipment and other related products. In addition to selling, the decision was made to move the organization into a full fledged HVAC/Mechanical & Plumbing contracting company to provide design, build and installation of commercial heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment (HVAC) services. Southern Equipment Corporation has grown to be one of the top, nationally-known, HVAC/Mechanical & Plumbing contractors with over 100 employees earning between 10 and 20 million dollars of business a year.
Our experience and dedication to total customer satisfaction and successful completion of projects, of various size and scope, has earned us unequaled customer satisfaction as well as the respect of our industry peers. In addition to the continued success of the Mechanical Construction and Plumbing Departments, the satisfaction and trust of our customers is also reflected in the highly successful Service Department which operates round the clock, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is our full expectation to build upon our past experiences and move Southern Equipment toward continued success by adapting to the diverse and changing needs of our customers.
